Ellis PailetEllis Pailet is a New Orleans attorney and Partner of The Entertainment and Intellectual Property Law Group of Pailet, Ramsey and Ostendorf, LLC. Mr. Pailet has focused on entertainment and intellectual property law for over thirty years. Mr. Pailet has represented outstanding internationally know clients; including Artists & Entertainers, songwriters, film & television producers, screenwriters & directors. (numerous clients & associates are noted and listed below). His extensive knowledge and experience within the entertainment industry includes an active role as Executive Producer on various music & broadcast entertainment productions, including HBO and other major media outlets, and working with internationally known entertainers such as Julio Iglesias, Ron Wood, Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Rita Coolidge, Fats Domino, Brittney Spears, Jerry Lee Lewis, to name only a few. Pailet was Associate Producer for HBO and Cinemax television specials as well as the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon.

Over the years, Ellis has represented artists throughout the world, including Europe, Asia, South America (Brazil) and including various Festival Organizations and Renown Club Venues such as The Bourbon Street Club in Sao Paulo Brazil, who have over the years hosted such global artists as B.B. King. Pailet has also represented the American Film Market Association and the American Film Festival. His high profile in entertainment marketing has provided access and opportunity to have produced and participated in numerous Louisiana Music & Cultural Festivals and Fairs. Currently, among other things, Mr. Pailet is representing an entertainment-focused video game technology company in intellectual property and business affair matters and obtaining digital media tax credits through the State of Louisiana. Ellis Pailet’s extensive experience has also included being an Academic Proponent, teacher, professor and lecturer of numerous courses of study at University of New Orleans (LSU system), typically focusing on “Music Business Overview and Application.” Pailet has also lectured at the Tulane School of Law, Southern University Law Center, and Loyola Law School. He has been a featured speaker on numerous governors, mayors and other conferences and panels on musical entertainment throughout Louisiana and around the United States. He is also member in good standing of the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, American Judicature Society, and the Academy of New Orleans Trial Lawyers Association.
